June 1st at 4pm, it’s Stonecutters LA!

Fans of The Simpsons: Come on down to The NerdMelt Showroom every first Saturday of the month to answer two rounds of trivia questions with your fellow Springfield residents for a chance to win some sort of prize — which may be edible or inedible! Expect special guests to drop in and screenings of everyone favorite episodes!

June 1st at 8pm, it’s Greg Proops is The Smartest Man In The World: Proopcast! 

It’s just Greg Proops and you. There’s no fan fare. Proops takes center stage at small table and chair setup with a single microphone. Then he’s off. An hour of great conversation that flies by at a break neck clip. He crams the feeling of a great two-way conversation into the lecture-style format of a one-way conversation.

Come watch Matt Mira and Kyle Clark host this comedy free-for-all. You’ll see brand new comics, comics you know and love trying out new material (Chris Hardwick and Kumail Nanjiani are frequent drop ins), and the magic that is live comedy.

 June 4th at 8pm, it’s Sleight of Mouth with Justin Willman!

It’s a late night-style talk show, hosted by magician Justin Willman (Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, The Nerdist Channel), in the back of a comic book store. Enough said! With special guests Nick Swardson, The Human Calculator, Marcus Monroe, and Bushwalla! For ages 16 and over!

June 5th at 8:30pm it’s The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail!

Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani helm the good ship Meltdown every single Wednesday, to host the show that’s been named one of the best live shows in LA by LA Weekly, Splitsider, and more. At The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, you’ll see some of the biggest comics, up and coming acts just before they get famous, and as always, surprise drop-ins that will knock your socks off. This week catch Chris Thayer, Mike Holmes, Byron Bowers, from Chicago, Ever Mainard, Todd Glass… and a special guest we can’t advertise!

Troy Conrad’s newest creation! Comics use a teleprompter to deliver a TED Talk-style presentation. When the teleprompter unexpectedly freezes, the performer must rely on their ability to improvise and continue their talk on the subject until the prompter comes back on. How much fun can comics have with a supposedly “broken” teleprompter and an absurd?  A lot, it turns out. Featuring presentations by Dave Anthony , Jon Daly, Rove McManus, Kumail Nanjiani, Johnny Pemberton, and Kira Soltanovich!

June 7th at 9pm, it’s The Fringe Riders present Stampede!

A rip roaring raucous wild west revue featuring LA’s best comics. Hosted by Mustang, Papa D, and The Birdman. Featuring the rootin’ tootin’ Howard Kremer and Brody Stevens!
