NerdMelt Showroom

It’s November. Time for stores to start putting out Christmas decorations for the 2017 Holiday season! It’s also time for more amazing shows at NerdMelt Showroom at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles, like 3 Truths and 1 Lie, SketchMelt, Cashing in with T.J. Miller, and more! So check it out and tell your friends.

November 2nd at 4pm it’s Stonecutters LA!

Fans of The Simpsons: come on down to The NerdMelt Showroom every 1st Saturday of the month to answer two rounds of trivia questions with your fellow Springfield residents for a chance to win some sort of prize — which may be edible or inedible! Expect special guests to drop in and screenings of everyone favorite episodes!

Hosted by NerdMelt’s own Kyle Clark and John Ungaro.

Free.

November 2nd at 7pm it’s Picture This!

Picture This! is a show from Sam Varela, Brandie Posey, and Grif Kimmins: two girls & an animator who want to push the boundaries of what a comedy show can be.

Picture This! is a live comedy show with stand-ups performing while they are drawn live by some of the best animators, cartoonists, and other artists in Hollywood, CA. The comedians don’t know what the animators are drawing, and the animators don’t know how the comedians will react. It may be weird. It may different. But it will be a unique comedy experience every time! After performing for a year in L.A., N.Y., Toronto and Australia, Picture This! is at the NerdMelt Showroom — so, come see the show that everyone will be talking about!

With special guests DC Pierson, Shelby Fero, Nick Rutherford, Cornell Reid, Matt Portman, Johnny Pemberton, & more!

Free.

November 2nd at 9pm it’s 3 Truths and 1 Lie!

3 Truths and 1 Lie is a truly outrageous storytelling show. Four performers will be telling seemingly true tales, but one of them will be lying to you. However, unlike your past relationships, you’ll get to call this person a big fat liar right to their face (and all of the Twittersphere). You like stories, but you like being right even more, don’t you? Join us and find out if you can really tell if someone is faking it.

This month features stories from Howard Kremer, Debbie Jhoon, Shadi Petosky, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Emily Gordon, and more! Hosted by Kristen Studard and Edward Salazar. With music by Wynchester.

$8 in advance, $10 at the door.

November 3rd at 8pm it’s Harmontown!

What is Harmontown? It’s awesome. It’s unique. It’s one of a kind. It’s something only Dan Harmon (creator of Community and the upcoming Rick and Morty) and Jeff B. Davis (Whose Line is it Anyway) can do. It’s a different show every time and it’s every week. Lucky us! Playing Dungeons and Dragons? It’s happened. Dan Harmon freestyle rapping? Yup, that too. Calling Chevy Chase from stage? Happened…more than once. A celebrity guest? Allison Brie, Donald Glover, and Gillian Jacobs among others have all stopped in. Getting super personal with an intimate audience? Always. It’s Harmontown. It’s awesome. It’s unique. Don’t miss a single week.

$10.

November 4th at 7pm it’s Nerdist Open Mic!

nerdmeltopenmic NerdMelt Showroom

It’s a late night-style talk show, hosted by magician Justin Willman (Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, The Nerdist Channel), in the back of a comic book store. Enough said!

For ages 16 and over! Featuring Todd Glass, Michael Rayner, Bushwalla, Matt Bennett, and more!

November 8th at 7:30pm it’s The Friday Forty!

Scott Gimple and Dave Holmes host this current-affairs sketch-comedy quiz show where the performers get a little liquid courage to help them answer 40 questions about the events of the last 7 days!

$8 in advance, $10 at the door.

November 8th at 9pm it’s Cashing in with T.J. Miller!

Cashing in with TJ Miller NerdMelt Showroom

Host Cash Levy can’t get any other guests for a special live recording of Cashing In…, although he’d like to. Come and listen to thought provoking nonsense as Cash interviews T.J. Miller over and over again. Aren’t you tired of everybody interviewing more than one person? It’s the podcast no one has heard of and everyone is talking about. Philosophy, unsolicited advice, answers to questions you didn’t have… They pistol whip the world’s mysteries into submission- saving lives one podcast at a time, and ruining a life every tenth.  Just come and listen… you need to witness this.

$8 in advance, $10 at the door.

Thank you all so much for your continued support of the showroom. Follow us on Twitter and track us on our blog for more info about any of these shows!
