This Video Reveals That Hungry Raccoons Look Like THE WALKING DEAD’s Zombies

Is there any man, woman, or child in 2016 who doesn’t love Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Rocket Raccoon? Probably not, right? Yet despite the adorableness of what is now the world’s most popular screen rodent (sorry, Mickey), there’s just no getting around the fact that raccoons–real raccoons–are creepy as hell. They’re stealthy, masked, primarily nocturnal bandits with a penchant for loitering around dumpsters; little about real raccoons isn’t unsettling; especially for those of us with raccoon families living near our homes. Just in case raccoons don’t freak you, however, a new video has arrived online that illustrates their similarity to the twenty-first century’s fictional monster of choice–the zombies of The Walking Dead.

Imgur user “LeeroyFistums” has shared a video of a group (or “gaze” to use the exact term of categorization) of raccoons who appear to have made their home not in a hollow tree in a woodland area–as raccoons usually do–but under someone’s front porch. And when these critters are fed, well, the parallel to the walkers of the hit Skybound comic and AMC TV show is uncanny. Check it out…

Now, just in case you need a reminder, here is what The Walking Dead‘s walkers looked like when we were first introduced to them way back in the series’ pilot episode…
