This MAD MEN Farewell Video Will Give You All Kinds Of Nostalgic Feels

After seven seasons and eight years, AMC’s Mad Men is ending its run this Sunday. I know, it’s heartbreaking, I think I speak for everyone who loves the show when I say we would have all gladly followed Don, Peggy, Pete, Joan and Roger well into the seventies and even into the eighties (well, maybe not Harry Crane.) But, alas, all good things must come to an end, and as Mad Men comes to a conclusion this Sunday, it’s time for us all to look back fondly at what turned out to be one of the greatest shows of all time.

The folks over at Slate took one of the greatest moments from the show’s early seasons (Don Draper’s pitch to Kodak on their slide projector carousel, where he pitched the company on selling their newest product around nostalgia, not technology, leaving the Kodak guys speechless) and used it to evoke all our own nostalgic feelings around the show.

The Kodak pitch remains one of Don’s best in the entire series, which frankly had a lot of great pitches from Don over the years. In this video, they’ve replaced the photos from the original episode with stills from the entire series run of Mad Men, and we see images of Sally Draper when she was little, Don and Betty in (slightly) happier days, and Don holding Peggy after a long, stressful night burning the midnight oil in the offices of Sterling/Cooper. Try not to get teary-eyed on that one. (I got teary eyed just seeing Sal again. Why didn’t we ever find out what happened to Sal, Matt Weiner??)

Mad Men airs its final episode Sunday, May 17th at 10 P.M. In the meantime, watch the video below and try not get all verklempt.
