I have always maintained that the worse part of every single day is the very start, right when your alarm clock wakes you up. Think about it—you are in a warm, comfortable, safe, inviting place, where magical visions come to you, and then you are violently ripped away from that by a screeching siren screaming a reminder that you have to go somewhere you don’t want to be as much as you do your own bed.

The only thing that makes that horrible moment tolerable every day is the cup of coffee that follows it. So why delay, even for a short time, that glorious moment when that bean flavored ambrosia hits your tongue? Why not just cut out the miserable time between the alarm going off and your cup of Joe going down your throat? That’s just what one company is trying to do, with their alarm clock that wakes you up with a fresh brewed cup of coffee ready to go.

The Barisieur is an elegantly designed automatic coffee/tea maker that uses induction heating to get you that jolt of caffeine you need without any time wasted. The inventors say it “eases you into the day with the sound of bubbling water and the smell of freshly brewed coffee or loose leaf tea.” This stylish little device has a clean design and looks easy to use, but has a ton of very cool and very ingenuous design elements to it, including a built in cooling place to store your milk.

However, as much as you might want this yesterday, you’ll have to back it on Kickstarter if you hope to get one, where it currently sits at just over $200,095 of its $555,000+ goal with 28 days left to go. There are a few spots left to order one at $336.

We wouldn’t be surprised to see these start popping up in boutique hotels, but it’s probably safe for everyone, especially those of you that love to hit the snooze button, to keep this juuuust out of arm’s reach.

Because you want to wake up to a cup of coffee, not to a bed of boiling pain. Though that would wake you up…
