Things are Looking Up in BOJACK HORSEMAN’s S3 Trailer

There are many glorious reasons you should be watching BoJack Horseman: it’s witty, it’s manic, it’s self-effacing, and deals beautifully with mental health and existential dread under the comedic guise of a washed-up horse star. The show’s first two seasons were far more brilliant than anyone might’ve anticipated, and its upcoming third one looks to be doing much of the same. Only this time …BoJack might actually have to deal with being happy?

After two seasons of unsuccessful attempts to reignite his career, BoJack may have finally stumbled into something great: a biopic about Secretariat, his idol (and yes, it’s the horse from the movie of the same name). Only with success comes the spiral, and the never-ending questions: why doesn’t this make me happy? Shouldn’t I be happy? What happens if what I thought would make me happy, doesn’t?

Given everything that went down last season—a season that ended with BoJack actually trying to make some life changes—it’s going to be interesting to see what success looks like on a horseman that’s always put on such a front about whether or not that’s what he really wants.

And we’re obviously excited about more Princess Carolyn. Any time we can have more Princess Carolyn, we’re happy. Imagine all the opinions (read: jokes) she’s going to have about Cats coming back to Broadway! Will her ringtone change to an updated cast recording? One can only hope.
