These Vintage RE-ANIMATOR Trading Cards are a Perfect Throwback

Remember the glory days of collecting cards based on each individual scene in a major motion picture? Remember the glory of finding scenes that were cut from the film before it came out and being really puzzled as to why this character had a death you didn’t see on screen? Remember how great it was to eat gum that was probably poisoned by card ink?

Well everything old is new again.

Fright-Rags is re-animating the longstanding tradition of movie trading cards with their new series of Wax Packs; which kicks off with the collector card treatment for Stuart Gordon‘s Lovecraftian cult hit Re-Animator.

Each pack includes six collectible trading cards and one sticker. The cards have been hand-sketched by a curated selection of artists and the film’s lead actress Barbara Crampton has randomly inserted some autographed entries.

Re-Animator trading cards are available as individual packs, factory boxes (60 base card set, 2 chase cards, 2 stickers, and 1 sketch or signature card), and sealed boxes (2 full base sets, 2 full sticker sets, 22 chase cards, 1 sketch card, and 1 signature card). The quantities are quite limited, so this first outing for Wax Packs is definitely a grab it now or lose it forever kind of arrangement.

The cards are available in their online store.

Fright-Rags is also taking pre-orders on a Dream Warriors shirt to celebrate the 30th anniversary of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3.
