Teen Girl Band THE WARNING Cover ENTER SANDMAN and Crush It

I love a good music cover, especially when the artist puts a new spin on familiar material. Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and Trent Reznor’s “Hurt” are two classics that spring to mind. Slowed down versions, remixes, whatever–it’s fun to breathe new life into classic music while staying true to the original and the cover featured below is no exception.

The Warning 04 19 15

The Warning,” a band made of three sisters, Alejandra, Paulina and Dany, have been playing music for most of their lives and have just released their first EP on iTunes! The girls are campaigning to appear on The Ellen Degeneres Show and something tells me that once the talk show host sees them cover Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” they won’t have to wait too long.

Watch Dany lead on guitar and vocals, Alejandra kill on bass, and Paulina absolutely CRUSH the drums in the video.

Their website and YouTube channel are definitely worth a look. I’m also loving their cover of AC/DC’s “Back In Black” featuring Paulina singing this time while she owns on the drums. The Warning are badasses in bows and have aspirations of attending Berklee College of Music for a five-week summer program in 2016. The girls live in Monterrey, Mexico and created a GoFundMe campaign to pay their tuition for the summer program and recently met their goal! They are continuing their campaign to pay their work visa fees and continue their music lessons until they attend the program in Boston. Details can be found on their website and on their campaign page.
