There’s a New OUTLANDER Teaser For All You Sassenachs Out There

After the mega-cliffhanger that sent all us Outlander fans over the edge, we weren’t sure we’d be able to survive the long, long wait for the second half of season one’s return. After all, the first half of Outlander ended in September and we were told the back 8 episodes wouldn’t be hitting the world until April of 2015. Cruel and unusual punishment, if you ask me.

But lo! A light at the end of the dark and depressing tunnel: for April 4, 2015 is now only 4-ish months away! A hop, skip, and a jump through time away from coming back into our lives — and as a thank you Starz has released a dark and deadly looking trailer for the series second half.

For those of you who may not remember, a quick recap of what went down: at the end of the first half of season one, Claire had finally — finally! — made it to the standing stones on the hill of Craigh na Dun… in 1743. Only to be pulled away, captured by Black Jack Randall, when she was mere seconds away from being reunited with her husband Frank in 1945. So now she’s back at square one, and is going to have to attempt escape and/or rescue herself from that ol’ bloodthirsty scallywag.

Small though it may be, it still packs a metric tonnage of intrigue and curiosity about the forthcoming episodes. There’s Colum MacKenzie gettin’ straight ominous, some dead bodies, frenzied, town square ushering, and the all-important “I never planned on loving you!”-style declaration of Claire towards her new (second) husband, Jamie.

What do you think lies ahead for Claire and Jamie? Let’s hear your non-book-spoilery theories in the comments.

  1. Mary says:

You say that hes gay. How do you   know this,    Doesn’t seem to be gay. Who says hes gay to begin with.

  2. DJ says:

After all these years Diana picks a guy Jamie. Sure he’s a good actor but he doesn’t like women so the love story between him and Claire is a farce. I know, I know people say it doesn’t matter but the quite a few people that it does matter!

    • Andrea says:

Diana denies the gay rumours. Just because someone plays a gay role does not mean that he or she is gay. Either way, he is gorgeous as Jamie and plays the part dead-on….It’s all about Jamie (and the fantasy), NOT about Sam.

  3. Elsie says:

    Lame, it that it?

  4. Is this supposed to be nice? cause it’s just more and more torture to wait until april now TT.TT

  5. mia says:

Sorry, I’ve already lost interest.  For me to watch more now, it will depend on what the show is playing against or if I record it.

  6. Betty says:

Ridiculously short and too spastic.  Can you just do a couple good scenes at a much slower pace?

  7. Lushell says:

Is Frank a direct descendant of Black Jack Randall? If so, and Jamie kills him defending Claire, wouldn’t that mean Frank was never born and wouldn’t be there to go back to anyway?

  8. SassyNach! says:

“I never counted on loving him..” and Jamie’s face afterwards. Jesus H Roosevelt Christ! <3 <3

  9. Shawn says:

Well that was WAY too short!

  10. Richelle says:

I finished reading the whole 8 books, and i feel its not finished…love it

  11. Elizabeth says:

There’s still people out there who haven’t read the books?

    • Alex says:

To be fair, each book is pretty lengthy and packed with detail.  And there are 8 of them.  If I hadn’t listened and read them instead, I’d probably still be reading.

  12. Jinx McDonald says:

Oh good! will watch they teaser because I need an Outlander fix right now! Is Jamie in it…please?

  13. Vickey says:

I don’t know, but I had to go on a reading binge after the first half of season one.  I’ve read EVERY doggone book in the series, and I still CANNOT WAIT until these two bring it to life for me again…

  14. Angie says:

So when can we expect Ron D Moore on nerdist to talk Outlander and Helix season 2?
