There it is, the full red band trailer for the Evil Dead remake coming April 12th. You’ll have to sign in and verify your age to watch it. There is much blood sprayed and spewed everywhere, and violence galore, capped off by a kiss.
Once again, we ask: Are you on board with this, or should they have left the original alone? You have about three months to prepare either way.
What? Wait…aww, no, the girl from Suburgatory is too cute to be a savage hell demon. Can’t they stick Bruce Cambell back in front of the camera and mess him up a little more? He does have that whole other hand…
I was hoping that the remake was going to be more like Evil Dead 3: mostly comedy. Oh well.
I love the original, but only because of the gore and the b-horror-ness of it. This one looks like it will be genuinely creepy, and the gore looks spectacular. I can wait to see this in the theater, i think it will be a treat.
I guess it will be alright. I really don’t like those crappy red contacts. They’re not scary- they look like the same ones you can get at a costume shop for 20 bucks. Couldn’t they have used some of the realistic looking, piercing, cold dead ones they use in The Walking Dead? That’s a TV show and they have way scarier eyes. Those cheap red ones just look goofy and ruin the terror. This is such an obvious thing that could have easily been fixed.
Super big fan of the original and I’ll admit when I first heard of it being remaded I yelled oh hell no buuuttt nevertheless the trailer looks absolutely awesome and I can’t wait to see it!

Besides look at all the sweet gore.
I really do hope that if people do hate it it’s for sincere reasons, not just because it differs from the original or because it’s cool to hate remakes.
I’m on it ! WHY ? its the 3 Main Amigos involved (Rami, Campbell, Tapert), its Rated R (not watered down to a PG-13) & its in coming to theatres (& its not a shitty straight to dvd) …
