When it comes to things that people are brazenly and loudly obsessed with, no two things are at the forefront of that frenzy more than Game of Thrones and the World Cup. So of course the two have been blended together with pitch perfect accuracy by way of some pretty cool uniforms for the houses of Westeros and Essos. Thank you, Internet — you never cease in amazing and delighting us.

Plus it’s nice to be able to post something Game of Thrones related and not have to write 100 words on why the post might be a spoiler. Victory is ours (and yours, too, probably).

Tumblr user and artist Nerea Palacios has created the World Cup-ready uniforms for all the major players in Westeros’ fight for supremecy, and posted them on her Tumblr — the job-huntingly titled “I Want to Work for Nike.” And maybe, just maybe, she should. Because to our wholly untrained athletic gear eyes, the results are downright awesome, inventive, and totally worthy of Palacios getting at least an interview with the place. Heck, even non-sports fans like ourselves (hey hush that mouth and be quiet, judgey-wudgies) are drawn to her designs — that’s got to be worth something, right? (Editor’s note: I’ve been watching damn near every game. — DC)
