Out of all of the films that could potentially be made into theme park attractions, The Wicker Man isn’t exactly the most obvious choice. The original Wicker Man movie by director Robin Hardy is a classic horror tale, and the 2006 remake gave us many unforgettable Nicolas Cage memes. But later this year, a Wicker Man ride will become a reality at Alton Towers Resort in the United Kingdom.
Via Entertainment Weekly, the Wicker Man ride is currently under construction and it is set to be the first wooden roller coast to be built in Britain in the last two decades. The concept art for the ride offers a taste of the extended track and its centerpiece: a 58-foot recreation of the Wicker Man itself from the terrifying conclusion of both films. Additionally, the ride will boast fire and lighting effects while sending visitors on a high speed trip through its course. While it may be a while before we see the finished coaster, Stranger Things artist Kyle Lambert created a very memorable poster for the attraction.

There’s no word on whether the queue will include any helmets full of bees, but we’ll keep you posted.
The Wicker Man ride is expected to open at Alton Towers Resort this spring.
