Christopher Nolan‘s Dark Knight Trilogy first hit theaters in 2005 with Batman Begins and wrapped up in 2012 with The Dark Knight Rises. The three films have a combined running time of over 450 minutes, that’s over 27,000 seconds worth of hundreds of millions of dollars of Hollywood blockbuster.
But, like, what if instead you just watched a 90 second version of the whole thing?
That’s just what you can do now thanks to one of our favorite YouTube channels, Burger Fiction, which have boiled all of that Bruce Wayne angst into one video that wraps up all three movies before you even have time to finish making your popcorn.
Some observations:
- They managed to show Bruce’s backstory in less than one second. Please remember that next person that makes a Batman movie. We know all about his freaking parents. WE ALL KNOW HIS PARENTS WERE KILLED.
- Everyone seems to want to forget Katie Holmes was involved in this trilogy. Though Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Rachel Dawes wasn’t all that important beyond being blown up.
- This 90-second version is freaking great through the first two-thirds. I have no idea what is going on at the end. It doesn’t make any sense. Are we sure the same people that made the first two parts of this also did the last? Seems impossible. I don’t get it.
- I know what they were going for, I do, but Alfred and Bruce just nodding at each other as their last moment together on Earth is still horrible. Not to mention a dead billionaire hanging out in Florence would probably be on the news.
What did they leave out here that should have been included? Sum up your thoughts for us in the comments below.
