After visiting the Star City (and Green Arrow) of the year 2046 in the last episode (you can read Blair Marnell’s recap here), the team of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow heads to deep space for their next adventure. According to the official synopsis, The Waverider receives a distress call from another time ship. Even though it looks and smells like a trap, Rip Hunter disregards the warnings of his teammates and heads to investigate. You guessed it: trap. This time, by a group of time pirates. The team is captured, and it’s up to Martin Stein to execute a rescue mission.
I am sure the episode will explain how “time-pirates” work. Are they stealing time? Are they using time travel to steal money and other goods and services? This adventure also seems to cause a rift with the team, as the promo ends with Heatwave having both hands around Hunter’s throat.
While the other episodes this season have been really touch and go with me, I am looking forward to this one, as it looks to have elements of a classic Doctor Who or Stark Trek space story. Sometimes the “one-off” episodes are the best.
