History has a way of repeating itself. Just like Batman V. Superman did, Warner Bros’ next entry into the DCEU, Suicide Squad is meeting both mixed reviews and controversy. (You can read our review by Michael Arbeiter right here.) Whether you liked the movie or you didn’t, that’s okay. There is one thing we can all DEFINITELY agree on: LEGO makes everything better. YouTubers operating under the handle forrestfire101 totally understand that and have taken it upon themselves to make a version of Suicide Squad that both lovers and haters can enjoy together.
Forrestfire101 converted one of the film’s short TV spots into a LEGO version. Once again using Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” (who would have thought this song would be known for something OTHER than Wayne’s World in the mainstream?), It starts with LEGO Amanda Waller talking about forming the team, as well as LEGO Joker running around causing a ruckus. We then get shots of pretty much the entire team, From LEGO Harley Quinn to Katana to Deadshot. Only two things were missing: LEGO Boomerang drinking a beer, and LEGO Batman. No offense to Ben Affleck, but this would have been Will Arnett’s time to shine. All in all, a funny take on an already insane trailer.

Suicide Squad, starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, and Jared Leto, opens in theaters August 5.
