The SUICIDE SQUAD Soundtrack Features Skrillex, Eminem, More

Thanks to an all-star cast and Jared Leto’s on-set antics, Suicide Squad is shaping up to be one of the most hyped films of the summer. Leto, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, Scott Eastwood, and Sad Affleck have all donned capes and masks to portray their respective villains. Such a mélange of nefarious anti-heroes deserves an equally diverse soundtrack. Today Warner Bros. revealed the tracklist for the upcoming film and it is indeed diverse.

The 14-track playlist includes tracks both new (a collaboration between Action Bronson, Dan Auerbach, and Mark Ronson titled “Standing in the Rain”) and well traveled (Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son”). Suicide Squad: The Album has a little something for everyone—check out the full lineup below, as shared from Comic Book:

Suicide Squad Tracklist:

01 Skrillex & Rick Ross: “Purple Lamborghini”

02 Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, & Imagine Dragons: “Sucker For Pain” [ft. Logic, Ty Dolla $ign & X Ambassadors]

03 twenty one pilots: “Heathens”

04 Action Bronson & Dan Auerbach: “Standing In The Rain” [ft. Mark Ronson]

05 Kehlani: “Gangsta”

06 Kevin Gates: “Know Better”

07 Grace: “You Don’t Own Me” [ft. G-Eazy]

08 Eminem: “Without Me”

09 Skylar Grey: “Wreak Havoc”

10 Grimes: “Medieval Warfare”

11 Panic! At The Disco: “Bohemian Rhapsody”

12 War: “Slippin’ Into Darkness”

13 Creedence Clearwater Revival: “Fortunate Son”

14 ConfidentialMX: “I Started a Joke” [ft. Becky Hanson]

A Joker-filled video for the lead track, “Purple Lamborghini” should be coming soon, as well. A couple weeks ago, Leto tweeted some photos of himself dressed as The Joker without any context. Batman News discovered that the actor was in Miami to shoot said video. “The song premiered earlier this year at WAV Nightclub in Atlantic City,” BN reported. “It’s hard to make out all of the words, but you can definitely hear “Suicide Squad,” “Gotham City,” “Killer Croc,” and “purple Lamborghini,” a reference to Joker’s car in the movie.”

Oddly enough, Leto reportedly drives a custom Vaydor 35 in the forthcoming video, not a Lamborghini. Maybe Leto crashed the Lambo while shooting the film in his ongoing embodiment of The Joker. An expensive joke, sure, but as we’ve all seen, he’s willing to do just about anything to get into character.

Suicide Squad: The Album arrives on the same day as the film (August 5) and it can be pre-ordered here. Let us know what you think of the soundtrack’s lineup in the comments below.
