The OSU Marching Band’s Tribute to Video Games

On Saturday, the theme of the Ohio State University (excuse me: THE Ohio State University) Marching Band’s routine at halftime of the Nebraska game should warm your nerdly little hearts: video games. Anyone who spent too much time and too many quarters at the arcade back in the day will appreciate this one. Pokemon, Mario, Halo, Pac-Man, even Tetris and many more….

Even Michigan fans will have to admit this is pretty impressive.

Hey Brutus, keep making ohio proud. Just remember that script ohio that you’re so proud of was first performed by Michigan’s marching band. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Script_Ohio#Script_Ohio

    Cool show. Go Blue!

  6. @J_D_Bell says:

That was pretty great! I’d like to know how long it took to remember that entire routine. I played elementary band and I had a difficult time just playing a trumpet, I can’t even imagine what it would take to do all of that while playing an instrument too. That’s dedication and skill, folks. Dedication and skill.

I’m a student at OSU and got to be at the game, I absolutely love that all the websites I love are covering it. Makes me proud to be a buckeye!

  9. This is so awesome!!! I’m such a Marching Band Nerd! I love this stuff. I love performing even more! There is nothing like the feeling of just knowing your music and where you are suppose to be.

I don’t think most people realize how tough and demanding Marching Band is. I can imagine what the drill charts to that 9 minuet routine looks like.

    Amazing execution!!!
