Marvel Studios’ Phase 3 is about to begin! The latest trailer for Captain America: Civil War has dropped, and we’ve got our first glimpse at the MCU’s most anticipated character debut yet. That’s right: Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is here!
But things are getting decidedly unfriendly in Civil War, as Captain America and Iron Man clash over the future of the Avengers. In fact, the Avengers themselves are split over who to follow, with Falcon, Hawkeye, and Scarlet Witch joining Cap, Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, and Agent 13. As for Iron Man, he’s got War Machine, Black Widow, Vision, Black Panther, and the full support of the U.S. government. Cap’s team is seriously outnumbered, and they may have to deal with a certain wall-crawler as well.
If the Civil War movie is anything like the Civil War comic book miniseries, then not every hero is gonna make it out of this film alive. And given the intensity of the fights in the latest trailer, it’s entirely possible that these casualties could arise from hero-on-hero violence.
With friends like these, who needs enemies? As if Cap and the Avengers didn’t have enough problems to handle, Daniel Brühl’s Helmut Zemo is moving forward with his own evil plan, which could destroy everything that the heroes have created since the dawn of the MCU.
