Though it may only matter to a few of you, Nick Worthington, grandson of car dealership mogul Cal Worthington, is proving that either the cheesy local car dealership commercial won’t evolve or that cheesy local car dealership commercials occupy a certain genome that hasn’t been yet mapped (Seriously, you could probably play this ad in the 80s and no one would think it’s from the future). Luckily, I’ve got The Most Intentionally Funny Video of The Day to deal with this far-reaching issue.
Today’s MIFV is Sam Hyde of the comedy group Million Dollar Extreme doing a TED Talk entitled 2070 Paradigm Shift at an actual TEDx event held at Drexel University while wearing fake armor/predicting the future.
Hereâs yesterdayâs pick for MIFV, in case you missed it.
Per usual, Iâm taking submissions for the MIFV like so many featured in the past. I love finding new, hilarious videos from people hundreds and thousands of miles away, so please do send your videos so long as they follow the rules below.
-E-mail embeddable video link to [email protected] with subject line âMIFV Submissionâ
-Videos must have been posted online (i.e. have a time stamp that says so) within exactly two weeks from when you submit (i.e. videos uploaded more than 14 days from the day when you submit will not be up for consideration)
-Donât add any cover letters or explanations; please just send the link
WTF did I just watch? I did not find this funny at all. At times it seems like he MIGHT be trying to be funny, but it just falls flat. He seems way more amused at himself than I or his live audience was.
