The Man in the Horn-Rimmed Glasses Is Coming To HEROES REBORN

When Fox announced plans to bring back famed action series 24 to television in the form of a limited-series event, many were quick to think the strategy might work for other popular shows that didn’t receive the ending they deserved. So, not to be outdone by their competition, NBC became the first network to follow in Fox’s footsteps by rebooting one of their cult-favorites, Heroes. Word first came down in February thanks to an ominous first teaser trailer that simply featured a title card and the promise of Heroes Reborn in 2015. Since then, little’s been stated by anyone involved in the production, and in regard to possible returning cast members, network president Bob Greenblatt has simply stated “some of the familiar faces from the show are bound to drop in.” Now, thanks to Deadline, today we have our first official word of a returning cast member, and it’s a doozy.

According to the site, fan favorite Jack Coleman aka Noah Bennett, the man with the horn-rimmed glasses, has been confirmed to be returning to the limited-series event.

As for plot details and the specifics of Coleman’s return, everything’s still being kept very hush-hush. Tim Kring hasn’t even gone so far as to reveal if the new episode run will tie at all into the show’s previous mythology. All that’s known, according to Deadline, is the show will “replicate the basic elements of the show’s first season in which ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities.”

They had for years to get it right before.  The first year was great, the second was okay and after that complete crap ensued.   When you mess up that badly I’m not so sure you hold much promise for a reboot.  Just my opinion.

  2. Also, if this is possible, what about Firefly?!

I’m a HUGE firefly fan. Can’t state enough how much I love the verse.
However, Fox bringing Firefly back won’t and shouldn’t happen. What would they do, time lapse them to the age they are now, with two main characters dead? Bring Richard Castle into space? Nah. New characters in the same verse? Nah, that can be any sci-fi show.
Firefly is gone and should stay gone because if they do bring it back, they’ll screw up so hard that it’ll ruin what is and has been this whole time.
But Firefly lives on by re-watching the show. Even the few comics there are now are pretty decent even tho they are short.

  3. First season was the best, the rest were junk.  Bring back all of the first season characters, including Tawny Cypress who’s character was killed off long before she should have been, long before her character was allowed to develop.

  4. Pia Orr says:

Definitely excited about Heroes return, but I do hope there are several familiar characters from the original series who will continue. I recently finished re-watching the entire original series and loved it as much the second time around. I hope Reborn has a strong, compelling storyline and as much action and intrigue to boot. Wouldn’t we all love to have an amazing power…..*dream*….

  5. Adam says:

I’m excited, yes. But extremely disappointed that they won’t continue with it’s previous characters. It’d be nice to at least have a fifth season of the original series that wraps up how the writers wanted to wrap up. If Reborn takes off, hopefully that will push NBC to allow for the fifth that many have been longing for. Hopefully the actors are willing to pick up where they left off anyways.

    Myty

  7. Mike says:

I can’t wait to see this again!

  8. Chad says:

About f’n time.  I actually stopped watching NBC since they canceled Heroes.  I might have to start watching again.

  9. Carmen says:

    Yes!

  10. Will Bryan Fuller be involved? I hope so!

  11. Malachi says:

    So…what about Firefly???

  12. Andy says:

I’m thrilled by this news! The Misfits TV show was a pretty big success and it sounds like Heroes wants to get back on-board and continue.
