THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN Head Into Battle in Two New Trailers

This fall, The Magnificent Seven will ride again in a new remake by director Antoine Fuqua. And like any good bounty hunters, hell is ridin’ in with them!

MGM and Columbia Pictures have released two new trailers for The Magnificent Seven that introduce each of the main characters by their specialties. The leader of this group is Denzel Washington‘s Sam Chisolm, and his right-hand man is Chris Pratt‘s Josh Farraday—a.k.a., “the gambler.” The trailers spend most of their running time with these two, though Vincent D’Onofrio gets a few fun moments as the trapper, Jack Horne, and Ethan Hawke demonstrates his skills as sharpshooter Goodnight Robicheaux. Rounding out the makeshift team is Byung-hun Lee as assassin Billy Rocks, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as an outlaw named Vasquez, and Martin Sensmeier as the deadly Comanche warrior who calls himself Red Harvest.

Haley Bennett makes a pretty strong impression in these trailers as Emma Cullen, the woman who hired the Seven to get revenge on rogue industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard). You know he’s gotta be bad when his name is that alliterative!

This version of The Magnificent Seven also has the distinction of having a script by True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto and Richard Wenk, which should modernize the 1960 original film—itself a Western remake of Seven Samurai. Judging by the two new trailers, there will be a lot more explosions in this movie!

The Magnificent Seven will gallop into theaters on September 23.
