See THE LAST JEDI’s Throne Room Scene Recreated in LEGO

Warning: There are massive spoilers ahead for one of the key scenes in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Luke Skywalker‘s warning about how The Last Jedi wasn’t “going to go the way you think” turned out to be an understatement. The latest chapter in the Star Wars saga may have taken a few of its cues from The Empire Strikes Back, but it also upended so many of our expectations about its characters.

One character fate that really surprised us was Supreme Leader Snoke, who met his end when Rey and Kylo Ren came together at a pivotal moment in the film. Now, in just over two weeks after the movie dropped in theaters, a fan has recreated that sequence in LEGO animation. As you can see below, it’s a pretty faithful take on that shocking turn of events.

Via ComicBook.com, this video was created by YouTuber LEGO Man, and this is one of the faster turnarounds we’ve seen for a movie that’s still in theaters. Snoke’s demise is still pretty brutal in LEGO form, but the video ends before depicting the epic Rey and Kylo Ren team up. That seems like a scene that’s ripe for a LEGO remake down the line.

LEGO Man’s YouTube channel has additional videos that may be of interest, including his speculative take on a Luke and Rey duel with Kylo Ren from last summer. The Last Jedi went in a different direction, but it would have been interesting to see something like this play out in live-action. Plus, Rey would have kept a gruesome Star Wars tradition alive.
