Hey Janet,
I’m a huge fan of the show, been working through the episodes, and I love listenning to all of them, you’re doing a great job.
This interview was so moving and inspiring felt like I wanted to write in. Also, hadn’t heard of tig before your show but bought her cd’s after your interview. She has a heartwarming view of life.
Keep up the good work, you’re warmth and honesty are helping out the rest of us…
This episode was great. It reminded me of how my family makes remarks that are off-putting to outsiders during times of tragedy. Humor is how we deal.
If this podcast could be a movie, I’d want “take me to Flip’s star” to be the line everyone says around the water cooler the next day. love it!

@Tig Notaro episode – This was an awesome and heart breaking episode. It’s somehow great that she can still joke around while talking about heart wrenching life problems.
Forgot to add that Tig hated her mother and send her used tampons as some “message.” Save your tears for real people. Tig is milking this and has no feelings for anyone but herself. She is also a pathological liar and nothing she says is credible. Don’t waste time or compassion or money on a sociopath like this.
Tig is very lucky not to be in prison. She is a perjuring psychopath and it is more than possible that she never had cancer. Tig Notaro is a desperate wannabe and she would lie, beg, and steal to advance her stale career. Scary to see her in the presence of other humans when she is a deranged mutant.
I love Tig’s delivery. Even when she’s talking about events that knocked her down and left her feeling awful, she’s got this strength in her voice that was captivating.
Dying people will often call for their mother, even when their mom has been dead for decades. All the best doctors and nurses in the world still can’t provide the feeling of care and security that the presence of one’s mother provides.
Great episode. There’s so much to talk about, but the subject’s a bit heavy. So I’ll just stick to “great episode”.
