I hate being So Late responding!! I have almost all the Baum Oz books! I used to have all of them; NEVER let younger cousins borrow your stuff! The Patchwork Girl is the female version of the Scarecrow, softer, fluffier, just as smart! They have so many great female role models!!
Was interesting hearing about Cole’s childhood in Davis- totally sounds just like Ithaca. Could have done without the fatphobia at the end, though.
I called that Bill ans Ted trivia phone line too. I was told so about it.
Not a mixed drink fan, but I will try some (usually “local” ones) when I travel. Though with beignets, I’d probably stick to red wine, just because they’re similar to the traditional “beignes de Noël” (Xmas donuts, note the missing t), and those go great with red wine. I’m not sure why.
Great mullet!
I grew up in Davis too, and love hearing it discussed! Great but wacky place.
