THE IT CROWD Finale Coming This Month In U.K.

The series finale of The IT Crowd finally has an air date in the U.K. After series co-creator Graham Linehan tweeted this:

Bleeding Cool reported that the show will air on the U.K.’s Channel 4 September 27th, following Channel 4’s airing of the debut episode of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. Chris O’Dowd, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson, and Matt Berry are all back, which we knew; There’s no word on an American or Canadian airing, but until we know, well, you’re on your own for that (no endorsement of extra-legal methods of obtaining programming intended, which reminds me of this classic IT Crowd moment:

It’s no fifth season, but we’ll take all the Moss, Roy, and Jen we can get. While we wait, if you’re in the U.S., now would be a great time to catch up on the show via Hulu. Any time would be good for that.

It’s been a couple of days already and I’m still moist.

  2. Mike says:

Or watch is ad-free on Netflix.

  3. Delores says:

Because Moss is my favorite I’d watch it. Just don’t rehash all the UK stuff or we’d compare, but with the same writers (or ones just as good) I think it could be a hit here. After all, most of the Intelligent American’s are watching BBC anyway. 😉

I cried laughing at this IT Crowd Sketch.

  5. Ashly says:

Perfect! I love this show and was so sad that it only aired for four seasons. A proper finale special will be great! I hope it is extra long!

  6. Laura says:

What! What! What! I’m SOOOOO Happy!!!! I cannot wait to watch this.

  7. alanso says:

My goth, that American version 🙁

I’m glad this is getting to be wrapped up, if sad that it has to go. At least it got a bit more breathing space than most Channel 4 sitcoms and still (should) end on a high. I’m sure it will. It will.

  8. PETE says:

Noel Fielding has to be in the finale!

  9. Chris not Harwick says:

    What about Richmond!?

  10. Caesius says:

Sorry, I clicked POST before proofing (and tablet texting always requires proffing). Not only to clean it up but I meant to also say – The US pilot and comparison video is on YouTube.

  11. Caesius says:

@Chris, you can see the pilot for the American version (as well as back to back (joke for joke) comparisons…I don’t know why, but it just doesn’t translate AT ALL.

  12. commonperson says:

@Chris that happened already it was a train wreck.

  13. Chris says:

    American adaptation?

  14. commonperson says:

It’ll be sad to see the show finally come to a close but it’ll be nice to say goodbye. That show was pure comedy gold, as much as I love Joel Mchale that American adaptation was terrible. He’s just too damn handsome to be Roy.
