When it comes to memorable Captain America: The First Avenger characters, of course there are the likes of Cap, Peggy and Colonel Chester Phillips [Editor’s Note: Who?], however, there are none perhaps more memorable than Capâs main ragtag group of fellow soldiers, The Howling Commandos. Unfortunately, littleâs been seen of the crew since the 2011 Marvel film â the most recent appearance being a brief cameo in the season two opener of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. â but that all changes this week when the group returns for the first time in too long on the next episode of Agent Carter.
Donât believe it? Well just watch this clip:
While we totally understand why the show has been opting to portray a 1940s world that doesnât respect Peggy and her abilities because of her gender, we wonât deny that itâs really nice to see Dum Dum and the rest of the gang finally give the super spy the respect she damn well deserves. With any luck, maybe this ends up being the mission that finally proves her worth to the rest of the members of the S.S.R.
Itâs hard to believe Agent Carterâs already entering the second half of its first season after just starting to really get into its groove the last couple weeks. But, perhaps thatâs why the show was always planned as an 8-episode event. Itâs always better to leave a party early before you overstay your welcome⦠though itâs hard to imagine us ever growing tired of the adventures of Ms. Carter.
Agent Carter airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC.

Dear Editor,Colonel Chester Phillips was the head of The Strategic Scientific Reserve in the first Captain America movie. He was played by a little known actor by the name of Tommy Lee Jones.Pay attention.
I will choose to assume he was being sarcastic as it would take no more than a google search to learn that and this is Nerdist not some third rate media rag like CNN
