Have you watched the Godzilla trailer yet? Well if you haven’t make like Tom Haverford and Donna Meagle and “Treat yo’ self!” because it is all kinds of amazing. Facebook fan Wayne Bakken suggested we go a little Dark Side of the Moon on this one and sync the trailer to Blue Oyster Cult’s “Godzilla”. We were just too damned intrigued to see if it would work not to give it a try and surprisingly, the song does fit the trailer pretty well… at first. Like most conspiracy theories it starts strong but by the end it doesn’t really hold water. But we’re not ones to let you judge the thought without evidence, so we’ve included the trailer and song doubled up below.

Does Blue Oyster Cult’s melodic ode to Toho’s gargantuan green meanie sync up enough to make it into the annuls of musical conspiracy history along with Pink Floyd’s Wizard of Oz obsession and the Beatles’ “Helter Skelter”? Is Facebook Wayne full of whatever he’s been smoking? Do you think the song needs more cowbell? Let us know in the comments below.
UPDATE:
The folks at Screen Crack went ahead and cut this into a single video, so here you go:

class assignment. Here is another pretty good open design
that can be applied in a lot of different ways.
For the record…and this wasn’t my idea…it syncs up perfectly with “Call Me Maybe”…seriously
This Godzilla is GARGANTUAN!!
Damn, I love that roar at the end.
I never ever thought anyone would ever have any use for the “2001: A Space Odyssey” sound track. They are beyond Jupiter!!!! Is that the real sound track or are they just trying to freak out us older folk?
The link is broken for the original Godzilla trailer, you forgot the : in http:. Thought you’d wanna know!
