Did you party like an Ewok on May the 4th? The unofficial Star Wars holiday was a day of celebration, and two ambitious builders in Melbourne, Australia spent the weekend leading up to the special day clicking together tons of bricks. LEGO Master Builders Chris and Dan Steininger built the world’s largest Millennium Falcon from LEGO. Sadly, when the father and son team completed the Falcon a LEGO Han Solo didn’t stroll in and tell a LEGO Chewbacca, “Chewie, we’re home.”

The Steiningers used an incredible number of individual bricks to complete the build–as in over 250,000 of them. That’s not insignificant. Dan Steininger said a model of that size would normally take over a week to build. That’s not surprising considering the finished Falcon measured almost 16 feet across. However, visiting fans gave them an assist so they could get the work done faster. You can see the progress in the time-lapse video above. In addition to creating the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, fans who stopped by had the chance to help the Steiningers build two Imperial TIE Fighters. Though they’re not as gigantic as the Millennium Falcon, the TIE Fighters were 6.6 feet tall and contained about 80,000 bricks. Not so shabby. I’m dying to know how many boxes all those bricks arrived in; I hope they had someone who was able to use the Force to move all of them.
