THE FORCE AWAKENS Gets the LEGO Treatment with This Amazing Model

Earlier on Sunday, we showed you an awe-inspiring LEGO Hogwarts. Well, it seems that Star Wars found out about it and was not willing to be outdone.

LEGO builder KevFett2011 took it upon himself/herself to recreate the ruins of the Star Destroyer on Jakku from the beginning of The Force Awakens trailer. At 12,000 pieces, you can see that attention to detail was NOT left out.

Here is a screencap from the trailer so you can get a good comparison.

I would be impressed if it was JUST the Star Destroyer, but Kev was also able to get the topography of Jakku accurate to the trailer. The amount of time and design that went into this, based on literally 14 seconds of inspiration (That’s how long the ship is shown in the trailer).

All that is missing is a mini LEGO X-Wing in the foreground and the speeder driving past the ship. However, based on how great this project looks, minor details can be overlooked.

You can check out more of KevFett2011’s creation on his/her Flickr page here. There is also an album on his page showing the actual construction of this model from start to finish. From the looks of the finished product, it was time and effort well spent.

So what do you think? What are scenes from The Force Awakens would you like to see done up with Legos? Would you rather wait to answer until AFTER you’ve seen the movie? Let me know on Twitter or in the comments below.
