THE FLASH Challenges QUICKSILVER in a New MINUTE MATCH-UPS Episode!

The Flash often calls himself “the fastest man alive,” and that may be true in the DC Universe. But in the Marvel Universe, that title belongs to Quicksilver, a man so fast that he can appear in a Marvel Studios film and Fox’s X-Men movies! Of course, some shared cinematic rights led to Quicksilver’s appearance in both franchises.

In the comic book world, Quicksilver and the Flash have gone up against each other twice, first in the ‘90s during the Marvel vs. DC miniseries, and again in 2003 during the JLA/Avengers crossover. For the record, that was the Wally West Flash, and not Barry Allen.

The Flash vs Quicksilver Avengers JLA

For the rubber match, the Ismahawk team has put the Flash and Quicksilver head-to-head in the newest installment of Minute Match-Ups. In this very well-produced fan film, Danny Shepherd steps up as Quicksilver, while Noel Schefflin portrays the Flash.

The Flash’s costume is a little bit closer to his comic book counterpart’s than the one that is used on The Flash TV series. Although Barry Allen’s dorky humor is intact, the short samples a few cues from The Flash’s musical score and it even impressively apes some of that series’ high-speed chases. There are also some callbacks to Avengers: Age of Ultron and the Justice League Unlimited animated series before a winner is definitively crowned in the finale. Only one super-speedster is running away with this battle!

Last August, the Ismahawk team released a Green Arrow vs. Hawkeye Minute Match-ups episode, and a comic book Deadpool vs. X-Men Origins: Wolverine Deadpool back in April. At the end of the current video, the team teases Daredevil as one of the combatants of the next Minute Match-ups, with his opponent to be named later.
