One of the grimmest tales of “like father, not so much like son” drama took place in Grant Morrison’s 2006 comic-book arc centered around Bruce Wayne’s child, Damian. Certainly you’re familiar with the young Wayne, right? Well if not, you’re about to get acquainted with him, because Warner Bros. Entertainment is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Dark Knight by releasing a new DC animated movie this year called Son Of Batman, and we have the first trailer for you right here.
How intense was that? Surely any spawn of Batman is certain to carry rather rugged genes. Throw in the fact that Damian was raised by the League of Assassins and, yeah, you’ve pretty much got yourself an all purpose, hardcore killing machine. Jason O’Mara will be taking the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne; Stuart Allan is Damian; and Morena Baccarin plays Talia al Ghul. Son Of Batman will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and digitally sometime late spring, with the movie premiering at Wondercon during Easter weekend.
When I first saw the trailer, I felt like a little girl after learning that her favourite teeny bopper pop singer is coming to town. Damian is my boy, and I hate DC for killing him off. I’m also excited to see the fight with Slade. I cannot wait
Aaaaand, sold.
Bruce Wayne’s son Damon Wayans?
