The First SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR Trailer is Here!

Now this is how you do high concept. Robert Rodriguez’s stunningly visual and violent adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novels of the same name — Sin City — has finally released a trailer for the sequel (Those pictures were never going to be enough). Sin City: A Dame to Kill For find the two co-directors back together again, with an expanded cast and two interwoven stories from the Miller arsenal. Try to remain calm, cool, and — oh screw it!

Ohmygoshholycatsthislookssobadassahhhhhh!

Starring a freakishly impressive and inventive ensemble cast, the film sees returning cast members Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Powers Boothe, Mickey Rourke, and Bruce Willis saddle up alongside newcomers Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Marton Csokas, Julia Garner, Juno Temple, Ray Liotta, Stacy Keach, Christopher Meloni, Lady Gaga, Jeremy Piven, Jamie Chung, and Crystal McCahill. And while the first film focused on stories from first, third, and fourth books in the Miller series, A Dame to Kill For will focus on the second and fifth books, with two additional stories crafted by Miller specifically for the film.

Seems like Rodriguez himself is having a banner Thursday, as this is the second big announcement of his today. Earlier we exclusively revealed that the director is set to open a Frank Frazetta art museum at South By Southwest this month.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For hits theaters August 22nd, 2014. Are you looking forward to it?
