A [Fan-Made] Promo For AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAKSHOW Has Arrived

Update: So we, like the rest of the internet, got taken as FX has confirmed this is not an official first look at AHS: Freakshow, but rather a fan-made promo. But boy is it one of the best fan made things we have ever seen. Please disregard most of what we say below. Like any good sideshow, we were taken in by all the ballyhoo.

It’s been a long road since last we saw anything official from Ryan Murphy’s insanity based anthology series, American Horror Story. So far, what we know about the new season is that it’s called American Horror Story: Freakshow and Sarah Paulson is going to be playing some kind of two headed conjoined twin. Today, not only do we know that stuff, we now have our first official look at the series thanks to a new promo released by FX. Check it out:

Creepy tone, unsettling music, blood-churning imagery, yup, that’s an American Horror Story promo if we ever saw one. That final frame of this woman’s attached wings is certainly enough to tide us over until October, though we of course would like to see more.

During the Saturday panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con for American Horror Story: Coven, the creative is expected to preview the upcoming season, which perhaps means an official trailer with some actual footage. That’s our hope anyway, because if that doesn’t happen, we’re totally sending Fiona Goode after Ryan Murphy. She’ll make him caught up the good stuff… along with some blood.

On a serious note, we dig the hell out of this promo and can’t wait to see more, we just would like that more to come sooner rather than later.

American Horror Story: Freakshow premieres this October on FX.

What do you think of the new promo? Will you be checking out American Horror Story at Comic-Con? Let us know in the comments below!

For those questioning the ineptitude of Fox’s executives remember this is the company that allowed George Lucas to keep like 100% of the merchandising rights to Star Wars.

  2. Gnollmad says:

Did Fox make them pull this?  It’s just a trailer and spreading the enthusiasm just helps them…why should they get their whitie-tighties in a wad and leverage copyright infringement?….unless they want to track IP addresses of those viewing it on their site..?

  3. s says:

worthless article if there’s no actual trailer!

The two-headed Sarah Paulson sounds amazing. What a challenge! Should be fun.
