THE DLC: Steam Machines, TITANFALL, PlayStation Now, and More

With so much incredible video gaming news pouring out of International CES this past week, there just wasn’t any way we could pack all those juicy news bites into one episode of Nerdist News. Thankfully, The DLC is here to save the day. Join Jessica Chobot and me as we discuss China’s newly relaxed console ban, the implications of Titanfall‘s 6 vs. 6 multiplayer cap, what to expect from Sony’s PlayStation Now service, and just why the hell you would want to maybe buy a Steam Machine. Or just marvel at Jessica’s N7 Mass Effect leggings. Or my simple gray cardigan from H&M. It’s your call really. Just make sure that you watch The DLC.

What do you think? Chime in on today’s stories in the comments below or tell Jessica and me on Twitter.

You forgot one big thing, that STEAM is pushing Linux, the task of getting rid of Micro$oft from our gaming, having open source OS, and rid of the MAC and M$, monopoly.

I know this article is focused on the steam machine but for Titanfall, people need to understand that despite it being 6v6, the teams could be up to 24v24 because of AI etc. People need to stop focusing on just the 6v6.

Despite saying that..we don’t know how good the AI is going to be I guess. haha

i think the number one thing that makes the steam machine desirable is that it’s just a console. For me, playing on a computer has never come close to the experience and immersion that i feel when playing on a console. And for most people i know a “Gaming computer” is an abstract and COSTLY thing. give me a console that will play the awesome catalog that steam has and ill be there with a fresh credit card.
