THE DEFENDERS Team Up for War in Final Trailer

We are so close to the premiere of The Defenders, y’all! August 18 is so close, you can practically feel the epic Netflix binge that awaits us all this weekend. In case you weren’t hyped up enough from the first trailer or the amazing, extended trailer dropped at the Defenders panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year, Netflix and Marvel have blessed us with one final look at what is to come in the war for New York. Take a look:

Unlike other trailers, this one seems to highlight the relationship between the four Defenders more than it focuses on the action and the war. After all, that’s part of what makes these team-ups fun, is watching some of our favorite heroes band together, and seeing how their personalities, quirks, and flaws mesh. And if this trailer is any indication, the chemistry between Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and the Iron Fist is going to be a ton of fun to watch.

Of course, this show is a collaboration, so we’re not just going to see our four heroes join together. The Defenders will also see some of our other faves from the four shows team up. The official Luke Cage Twitter released this quick clip that shows Matt Murdock’s bestie and fellow avocado at law, Foggy Nelson, helping Luke as he’s released from prison.

And over on the Iron Fist official Twitter, we see Misty Knight asking about one of Colleen Wing’s more…interesting personal items.

The Defenders will, of course, feature several other familiar faces (as well as one badass new Big Bad in Sigourney Weaver), but this quick little peek into the colliding worlds of Netflix’s Marvel shows is nothing short of exciting. So be sure your Netflix queues are ready, folks. The Defenders releases on Friday, August 18!

Are you excited for to see Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and the Iron Fist team up? How do you think the events from The Defenders will impact each hero’s individual shows? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
