Last year, Alan Tudyk wowed us with his hilarious web series, Con Man, which reunited him with his Firefly and Serenity co-star, Nathan Fillion. On December 8, the second season will premiere on Comic-Con HQ, but you don’t have to wait that long. The newest episode of Con Man is already online!
Entertainment Weekly debuted the season 2 premiere of Con Man, which finds Wray Nerely (Tudyk) and Faith (Alison Haislip) facing an awkward situation over their relationship; which includes a wildly funny look at Jack Moore’s angry text messages. Meanwhile, Jack (Fillion) finds himself in a pitch meeting with his agency that includes a few familiar faces, including Echo Kellum from Arrow, and former Alias co-star, Merrin Dungey. The short version is that Jack’s in for some bad news himself, as his plans to revive his Spectrum series as a movie faces a harsh dose of reality.
Although Jack angrily rejects it in this episode, the EW report notes that Wray’s future may still be tied to the Doctor Cop Lawyer TV series, which as the name suggests, is about a character who simultaneously works in the fields of medicine, law enforcement, and legal representation. Buffy the Vampire Slayer standout and Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku is joining Con Man season 2 as the casting director of Doctor Cop Lawyer, and she won’t go easy on Wray. Tudyk told EW that “she’s your best friend until just the slightest bit of trouble, and then sheâll hurl you right under a bus.”
