The Cast of SCORPION Talks Shocks and Geniuses at Comic-Con

From the minds of Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, as well as Breakout Kings co-creator Nick Santora, CBS’ Scorpion is a dramatized take on the life of real-life genius Walter O’Brien. Though the show is a science-inspired action thriller, Scorpion is also a series with a ton of heart at its core — a fact that many learned at San Diego Comic-Con last month when the pilot was shown to a packed crowd in Ballroom 20. However, that wasn’t the only place you could have caught a glimpse at the series cast this year. Three of the Scorpion crew – Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick and Katharine McPhee – took to the Nerdist stage at Petco Park stage to talk with Jessica Chobot about the new show!

Gabel, Patrick, and McPhee discussed what it was like to meet Walter O’Brien for the first time, how the gang of geniuses will be made relatable to everyday viewers, how the series adapted Walter’s story into an action-drama, and if there was anything that shocked them as they were prepping for the series.

Don’t miss all the brilliant insanity when Scorpion premieres September 22nd at 9pm on CBS.

I saw this pilot in Ballroom 20. Everyone was pleasantly surprised at how good it actually was.
