The Cast of DRAGON BALL Z: RESURRECTION F Talks Frieza’s Return

It’s a great time to be a Dragon Ball Z fan. Not only is Dragon Ball Super — series creator Akira Toriyama’s first new DBZ series in 18 years — right around the corner, but a new feature film, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F, hits theaters on August 4. In Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F, fans are in for a cackling, shrieking treat because fan favorite villain Frieza is back and he has a bone to pick with Goku and the Z Fighters. Having had his ass handed to him before, Frieza is coming correct with more dudes than I have ever seen rendered on any screen anywhere. Seriously, it looks freakin’ bonkers. My excitement level is off the charts. If I had to quantify it, I would put it somewhere over 9,000. (Or 8,000 if you’re nasty.)

Naturally, I was delighted when I had the chance to talk with Christopher Sabat (Vegeta), Christopher Ayres (Frieza), and Sean Schemmel (Goku) about Resurrection F. In our wide-ranging discussion, we talk about Frieza’s return, the evolution of their characters over time, and much more. Plus, we also recorded something top secret and super fun, so keep your eyes tuned to Nerdist.com for that in the days and weeks ahead.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F will have a limited theatrical run from August 4-12, so if you want tickets, you’d better strike while the iron is hotter than a Kamehameha blast to the face.

You can also catch the Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F cast in person during the Nerdist Conival at Petco Park as a part of San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 9 at 11:30AM. For our complete Comic-Con schedule, click here.
