The Biggest Happenings in Comedy Right Now 5/17/14

This past week was simultaneously a bloodbath with all the network cancellations and a flurry of new orders, renewals, and more comedy goodness. While we have to say farewell to Community, we’ll be seeing Conan O’Brien at TBS for a few more years, The Simpsons and Family Guy will have a historic crossover episode, Nerdist’s own All-Star Celebrity Bowling is coming to TV, and so much more.

Parks and Recreation‘s 7th season to be its last.

 

NBC cancelled The Michael J. Fox Show, Community.

Jane Krakowski reunites with Tina Fey in Fey’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt starring Ellie Kemper .

Ken Jeong joins teen comedy The Duff from CBS Films.

ABC renews Last Man Standing and orders Cristela, Fresh Off The Boat, Selfie, Manhattan Love Story, and Black-ish to series.

NBC orders comedies A to Z, Mysteries of Laura, and Bad Judge to series.

TBS cancelled Men At Work.

The Simpsons and Family Guy will have a crossover episode later this year .

NBC sets for Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special.
