Comedy is in a boom right now. Did you know that? I hope you did, because not only is it booming, but it’s been arguably as great as it’s ever been as an art form, to the point where “comedy news” is a legitimate term (i.e. there’s so much of it on a daily basis). That’s why I’m going to tailor it down for a nice, neat, clean, sleek package for you here, every week, of what The Biggest Happenings in Comedy Right Now are, over the last 168 hours, to both highlight what amazing things are indeed happening in the comedy world and to make sure you’re up to date on your comedy nerd-dom.

Paul Feig is producing an animated film adaptation of the classic comic strip Peanuts.

Adam Scott’s third installment of The Greatest Event in Television History now has a full cast.

Craig Ferguson is doubling his hosting duties by agreeing to host a game show on CBS.

Flight of the Conchords’ Bret McKenzie is developing an animated series for Fox.

Comedy Central renews Key & Peele, Drunk History, and Brickleberry.

@midnight with Chris Hardwick is scoring high enough in the ratings to beat the lead in of The Colbert Report and The Daily Show in key demos.

NBC picks up a Tina Fey/Robert Carlock produced series starring Ellie Kemper.

 

Set List: Stand Up Without a Net will premiere in the UK on Sky Atlantic HD this December.

The Pete Holmes Show and Adam Devine’s House Party made their premieres over the last week on TBS and Comedy Central, respectively.
