The video above shows a crazy creation that lit up Two Bit Circus‘ STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Math) carnival at the Kansas City Maker Faire last weekend. Dubbed “FlambeÌ,” this traditional dunk tank trades water for plexiglass and 15 propane-based flame throwers directed at a flame-proof suit-wearing professional.
As children and adults alike lined up to “dunk” someone in a fireball, the heat could reportedly be felt up to 50 feet away.
Of course, every precaution was taken to make sure this tank was fun and not a fiasco. The builder of the project is a licensed pyrotechnics specialist, and the Kansas City fire department was on hand to make sure nothing got out of hand.
