To celebrate the 75th anniversary of The Hobbit this month HarperCollins will release more than 100 original illustrations by J.R.R. Tolkien in The Art of the Hobbit. These sketches, watercolors and ink drawings were recently discovered and digitized by the Bodleian Library in Oxford.  Many of them have never been seen before.
“It includes his conceptual sketches for the cover design, a couple of early versions of the maps and pages where he’s experimenting with the runic forms, as well as a couple of manuscript pages”

May just get these to get images to frame.
Looks like it’s not available in the U.S. But some of the European booksellers are offering it through Amazon.com.
I’m going to take a chance on one of them!
I’m so glad you mentioned The Art of the Hobbit I had no idea! That said, it’s already sold out on amazon.com. It is bittersweet.
