This Sunday, August 18th, will be a huge day for nerds everywhere – it’s the date of the 1st Annual Geekie Awards! It’s a live-streamed ceremony that will honor the very best in indie-created work with high production value in fields like comics, short films, webseries, podcasts and more.

The event, which begins at 7:30pm PST (5:30pm for red carpet) on Sunday, will be hosted by Alison Haislip and will feature a bevy of nerddom’s finest as presenters, such as Mythbusters‘ Grant Imahara, film critic and former G4 host Chris Gore, and Hollywood Babble-On co-host Ralph Garman. The ceremony will also feature a lifetime achievement award handed out by Seth Green to the legend himself, Stan “The Man” Lee, the name amongst names. Yeah, he’s done a thing or two for the geek world, so giving him a lifetime achievement award is justified.
