Telltale’s THE WALKING DEAD: THE FINAL SEASON Trailer Saves the Last Bullet

Back in 2012, The Walking Dead: A Telltale Series opened up a new corner of Robert Kirkman‘s zombie epic by placing players firmly in that world and forcing them to make gut-wrenching decisions. Along the way, players met a young girl named Clementine as she slowly transformed from a frightened child into a true survivor. Through three seasons of the game, Clementine’s journey has continued to unfold, but now her story is coming to an end with The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

Telltale has released a new teaser for The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which finds Clementine and her young charge, AJ, enjoying a brief respite from the horrors that surround them. Even so, Clementine makes sure that AJ remembers the brutal rules that she taught him.

According to Telltale, Clementine and AJ have taken shelter at a secluded school, and the game will come full circle with the first installment as the hard choices now fall on Clementine’s shoulders. AJ’s moral outlook will be shaped by the players’ decisions, as the battle for survival continues.

The Final Season will also introduce a new art style that emulates the dark inks from the comic book series. It offers upgraded gameplay elements that allow players greater control over where they can go, and more unscripted zombie battles to increase the tension.

The first episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be released on August 14 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version of the game will be available later this year.
