Nothing was awesome about The Lego Movie getting snubbed by the gaggle of old white dudes that run the Oscars—even Richard Sherman (Keegan-Michael Key) was incensed about it. However, EVERYTHING is awesome about Tegan and Sara and The Lonely Island covering one of the catchiest, most uplifting songs to hit theaters last year.
The ebullient “Everything Is AWESOME!!!” and its message of unrelenting positivity (“It’s awesome to win, and it’s awesome to lose!) should remind us all that, regardless of who comes away with golden statuettes, 2014 was a very good year for moviegoers. Plus, and you can watch The Lego Movie on the internet anytime you want! That’s pretty awesome in and of itself, right?
