TEEN WOLF Stars Tyler Posey and J. R. Bourne Discuss the Return of Gerard and Kira

Teen Wolf is about to start living by the old saying, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

After realizing that an ancient evil called the Beast of Gévaudan was not only resurrected, but is currently terrorizing the town of Beacon Hills, Chris Argent (J. R. Bourne) turned to the person he hates most in this world: his father. That’s right, Teen Wolf is bringing back one of the worst villains to hit this show ever!

Apparently, Gerard Argent (Michael Hogan) has some valuable information about the Beast. To get him talking, Chris opts to bribe him with the herb he’s needed all this time as a cure for his werewolf bite/wolfsbane illness. And talk he will.

“Chris is still carrying the desire to right the death of his daughter, so that’s why he goes to a place where he never thought he would, which is to ask his dad for help,” Bourne tells Nerdist. “He never thought he would go to him and have him as an ally. That’s completely new for Chris. He’ll carry this weariness from doing that for the whole season. He doesn’t trust his dad, as sad as that is. I think the fans are going to love watching that journey and the threat that potentially carries.”

Expect the dynamic between the two Argent men to be icy at best.

“It appears that Gerard wants to help. And that’s what we all hope,” Bourne says. “But Chris has a constant wall up about the whole thing. He realizes he’s stuck up against a rock and a hard place. It’s really a last resort that he’s going to Gerard at all.”

Teen Wolf

Gerard isn’t the only big Teen Wolf player returning in tonight’s episode; Scott’s (Tyler Posey) girlfriend Kira (Arden Cho) comes back in a major way. But after being separated from each other for so long, what will Scott and Kira’s relationship look like when they reunite?

“You’ll see Scott and Kira’s relationship grow even more,” Posey promises Nerdist. “You’ll see them be more intimate with each other. You’ve seen them be cute and awkward, you’ve seen them save each other’s lives and be all badass, you’ve seen their dates get interrupted multiple times, but now you actually get to see them be really intimate and grow up with each other. It’s a cool side we’ve never gotten to see from them before. They’ve been through so much together and their relationship has really matured.”

Another relationship taking a step towards maturity is the bromance between Scott and Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) after their nasty fight at the beginning of this season. Posey reveals that things are going to get better between the former BFFs, slowly but surely.

“There’s a lot that’s happened to Scott and Stiles over the years, but especially last season,” Posey says. “Stiles killed someone and kept that a secret from Scott all last season. Finally, Scott learned the truth, but not in the right way, and there’s all this confusion and animosity towards each other. Plus, Stiles’ dad is hurt, so he’s just overwhelmed. He’s going to take out his aggression on Scott, and Scott just lets him. But Scott still needs to find out what really happened with Donovan. And there’s definitely hope for reconciliation because Scott’s number one priority is getting his pack back together. Scott’s there already, but Stiles needs to let his guard down and catch up to him before they can start to heal their friendship.”
