T-Shirts Celebrate the Insanity That Was TOO MANY COOKS

Easily one of the weirdest things to bring the internet together in 2014 has been Adult Swim‘s 11-minute parody of ’80s and ’90s TV show openings, Too Many Cooks, which starts as a ridiculously-long main credits sequence and becomes so, so much more. It changes genres, it spoofs a number of different specific shows, and it eventually gets taken over by a nameless, smiling and terrifying machete murderer/cannibal that might also all be taking place inside the main character’s fevered, dying brain. Yeah, I’ve seen it a billion times and I’m still no closer to actually explaining just what the hell it is.

The company known as 80s Tees are celebrating the WTFness of the whole thing with three separate t-shirts inspired by perhaps the most indelible parts of the short. One shirt displays the Full House-fonted title; another with a cartoon image of the short’s ostensible hero, the magical puppet cat Smarf in all his half-cybernetic glory; and the third, naturally, has the disturbing visage of the murderer in dark ink with his machete betwixt his teeth. All three will give any fan of the short the ammunition to make their grandmas and co-workers ask “Uhh…what does that mean?”

All of the shirts are available for $20.00 apiece in sizes S through 3XL, so there’s really no excuse not to have get them and express your love of just the strangest thing we’ve all ever seen.

And, just because we like you and want to keep the nutsness going, here’s the short again, in all its whateverthehell.
