Well, you know, because Chris and Jonah did standup for tapings of the show, that our own Cashing In with T.J. Miller co-host T.J. Miller’s Mash Up is returning for a full series of shows on Comedy Central, and the starting date has been set for October 9th at 12:30 am/11:30c. In the spirit of the show’s mash ups of standup comedy and enacted visualizations of the bits, the show is giving away a DVD prize pack, and the contest involves contestants — that’s you, that is — mashing up words to create new words, then tweeting the results.
What? Okay, I’ll let the show’s web page explain:
“Combine existing words to make a new word or phrase — for example: Underwerewolf = underwear + werewolf — then tweet us your mash-up using the hashtag #ccmashup. You could win a DVD prize pack from T.J. Miller himself — and there is no limit to the number of entries you can submit!”
Got it? The Official Rules are here, and it should be noted that we — Nerdist Industries and Legendary Pictures — are not involved with the contest, so it’s all Comedy Central and Viacom, okay? Fine. The contest runs through November 27th. There are weekly winners. Everything else is at the Official Rules page, so ask them any questions you have. And go mash some words up.
Jonas! I’m surprised you have anything negative to say about this. I don’t disagree, but it is kind of confusing. The entries are a little lackluster.
This contest is disorganized, confusing, and just not very good.
