SWISS ARMY MAN Website Lets You Play with Daniel Radcliffe’s Corpse

Swiss Army Man, the upcoming movie that features Daniel Radcliffe as a farting corpse that can be used as a firearm or just about anything else, has to be one of the weirdest films to come out in a while. As such, its reception is sure to be polarizing: Its Sundance premiere was packed, but a ton of viewers were so turned off by the strange concept that many of them left the screening.

What should be universally easier to stomach is the latest piece of promotional material for the movie: a virtual rag doll of Radcliffe’s corpse that you can manipulate online. It doesn’t quite do everything that the character in the movie can, but if you click its butt, it’ll fart, so that’s something. You can drag him around the screen and make him fly like Harry Potter used to on his Nimbus 2000, you can have your own Weekend at Bernie’s situation and see how life-like you can make a dead Radcliffe look, or you can see how much of a pretzel you can get him tangled in.

For the record, we saw those Sundance reactions first-hand. Our own Dan Casey wrote in his review, “In fact, the most common refrains I heard once the credits rolled were variations on ‘What did I just watch?, ‘What the fuck?’, and ‘What was that about?’ These are all appropriate questions given that it feels like someone compiled a mash-up between Cast Away, The Revenant, and Weekend at Bernie’s with more dick and fart jokes per capita than anything I’ve seen in a long time.”

Still, we concluded that Swiss Army Man is a worthwhile endeavor, so before you go see it (it’s in theaters beginning June 24), throw its most fascinating character around for a bit.
