SUPERWOMAN #4 Has Lana Lang Haunted by Lois Lane and Clark Kent (Exclusive Preview)

SUPERWOMAN #4 Has Lana Lang Haunted by Lois Lane and Clark Kent (Exclusive Preview)

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Superwoman issues # 1 – 3.

Superwoman, from writer/artist Phil Jimenez (Wonder Woman, New-X-Men), has consistently been one of the best titles to come out of the big DC Rebirth initiative. The series initially launched with Lois Lane inheriting the dead New 52’s Superman’s powers, and taking up his mantle as the new defender of Metropolis, Superwoman. But things didn’t turn out quite so great for Lois as a superhero; at the end of Superwoman #1, Lois Lane is seemingly consumed by her own powers and dies.

That might have ended the series before it really began, but, as luck would have it, Clark Kent’s original girlfriend Lana Lang was also there when Superman died, absorbing a portion of his powers as well, and becoming a Superwoman herself. Although unlike Lois, Lana’s powers seem to be energy based. Now, Lana has to carry on Lois’ and Superman’s heroic legacy, all the while wondering just when these new powers are going to consume her as well. And in the upcoming fourth issue, her two dead friends Lois and Clark begin haunting her. Are they ghosts, or has Lana just lost it?
